We are moving to Alrewas in the next few weeks, so accommodation is currently not available, so we apologise for that but our new premises will be situated very close to the National Arboretum. A location map an images will be available shortly.
8, The Close is not an hotel, it is a family home and also a Grade II listed 19th century town house with charm and character. As such we happily invite you to stay as our welcome guests. It is situated in the historical Cathedral Close, one of the few remaining in this country.
Guests are welcome to enjoy the Darwin Gardens to the rear, or sit in the beautiful area at the West Front of the Cathedral in front of the house. The Remembrance Gardens and Beacon Park are within a short stroll, as is the centre of the city and the house is on the Heart of England Way walkers route.
Nearby attractions include St Mary's Heritage Centre, Dr Johnson's Birthplace, Erasmus Darwin House, all within walking distance. Within about 4 miles journey is the National Memorial Arboretum, the Roman Baths - Letocetum - at Wall, and a delightful countryside lake walk, cafe and boating attractions at Fradley Junction. All of these and more can be seen on this website:-
We hope you enjoy our breakfast menu. Fresh, local produce is used and the bread is freshly baked to your requirements.
For the discerning foreign visitor it is possible to arrange cultural visits. Further details available on request.
This is a non-smoking household. Parking is by arrangement. We look forward to welcoming you. |
