Lichfield has a year-round programme of Festivals, Shows and Events with much colour, spectacle, culture and local tradition and this page will be expanded with the current dates, times and places where you can see our goings on. Listed here are some of them, with dates to be added.
Shrovetide Fair & Pancake Race, Shrove Tuesday

The Pancake race is held every year, and above we see the Town Crier announcing the event, and at the centre the Bower Queen starts the races with some of the youger contestants, while the older ones get into the act, cheered by all and sundry. |
Lichfield Winter Beer & Wine Festival, February, Lichfield Rugby Club

The Lichfield Mysteries, May.
The Lichfield Mysteries is a cycle of 24 medieval style plays. They are performed three times each day in the historic City of Lichfield. It is one of the largest community projects in the United Kingdom involving over 600 amateur actors and supporting helpers. Admission is free and provides enjoyment for all the community. Cars in the Park, July

Cars in the Park is an annual event for Classic cars. A two day event over the week-end, with side shows and off ring events, stalls with spares for the enthusiast, and plenty to entertain the children. |
